Some more improvements

These changes were foreshadowed in our previous newsletter and are already in your system, you may have noticed:

The Configuration menu includes two fields for the names of your room types.  You can change from “En-suite” and “Shared Facility” to any names that are more appropriate and these will be used throughout the site and in emails.  You can change these text values at any time during the season.

The home page now shows a different colour and an appropriate mouse-over text for periods when the lodge is unavailable.  Previously these periods show as “CONFIRMED” with no mouseover text.  We have also provided you with a colour picker (a pallette) so you can choose the colours for CONFIRMED, TENTATIVE and UNAVAILABLE on the booking matrix.  You need to be careful when selecting the weekend colours to keep the shade similar to the weekday shade but a little darker.

We have made the “UNAVAILBLE” colour blue for now, as this is very different from any other colour in use.  You can choose a different colour if you prefer.

Bye for now

We hope you like the improvements and of course we know you appreciate the bug fixes that have taken place over recent weeks.  Now in its second year, the system is becoming more mature, capable, and robust.  We look forward to working with you in future seasons to make lodge administration easier and more flexible, and bookings easier and more convenient for members and guests.
